Shipping & Returns

UK Deliveries

Free when you spend over £49.99 in a single order, otherwise it's typically £4.99 per order. Delivery should be expected between 2-3 working days unless stated on product page or we inform you of a delay

 

Delivery Of Bikes

We ship all of our bikes Free Of Charge within the United Kingdom (excl. Jersey and the Channel Islands at this time) and all of our bikes come pre-assembled, with just a few tweaks required. (Please see our bike assembly guide page for details of assembly required).

All of our bikes undergo a safety check before being re-boxed for shipping which can, during busy periods, take a little longer to complete. So whilst we aim to ship all of our bikes within two working days of the order, please allow for additional time for this process.

 

Signature Required

All our consignments irrespective of the carrier require a signature upon delivery. Deliveries are typically made between 08:00 and 18:00, so please bare this in mind when choosing a delivery address.

 

Wrong Goods/Arrived Damaged

Unfortunatley sometimes mistakes happen. If something does go wrong we want you to know that Cowley Cycles will get it sorted quickly.

Package Recycling

Where possible we do try to reuse packaging from our own suppliers in order to send purchased items to our customers. We ask if the packaging is still in good condition after you've received your goods, then please try to use it again or recycle it yourself.

RETURNS

We very much hope you like your purchases but if you would like to return them, please find below your cancellation rights and our returns procedure.

Order cancellation

In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations [Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments] Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order and sales contract with us within 14 calendar days, which starts from the day after you have received your items.  Your right to a refund for your purchases will expire after these 14 calendar days.

If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us by email on info@cowleycycles.co.uk, telephone on 01609 776656 or use Contact Us. Alternatively, request a cancellation by replying to the order email you were sent when you placed your order with us.

Once we receive your request for cancellation we will give you a Returns Authorisation Number (RA number), which you will need to complete your cancellation and returns which was supplied with your items or find a copy (Copy to Print Here). Please complete and detach the relevant section on this form and return it with your purchase(s).

We kindly ask that your return your items to us as soon as possible and, in accordance with the current Consumer Contracts Regulations, no later than 14 days from the date on which you cancelled your order.

 Effects of cancellation

If you cancel your sales contract with us, we will refund all costs received from us, including the cost of standard delivery. You will bear the direct costs of posting the goods back to us. 

All returns will be quality checked. We may make a deduction from your reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is a result of unnecessary handling, wear or damage by you. You will also lose your right to cancel if you unseal goods that are not suitable for returns owing to health protection or hygiene reasons.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the goods and we will send you an email to confirm that the refund has taken place. We will make the refund using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise 

If you would like to exchange your items, we will refund or charge for any difference between the price of the goods purchased.

In the unlikely event that you feel that the item you have received is faulty, please send the item back to us using the returns procedure below. If we agree the item is faulty, we will provide you with a refund or exchange and a refund for all reasonable postage costs.

Returns procedure

               1.     Cancel your order with us by email on info@cowleycycles.co.uk, by phone on 01609 776656 use Contact Us within 14 days of receiving the goods.

               2.     Complete your section of the returns and cancellation form which was supplied with your items or find a copy (Here) and include your Returns Authorisation Number (RA number), which we will have given you at the time of cancellation.

               3.     Detach the returns and cancellation form and post it back to us with your purchases (s) within 14 days of making your cancellation.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

 

Late or missing refunds 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@cowleycycles.co.uk.

 

Return Shipping

If the item is being returned as a result of our error (damaged, defective, wrong item sent etc), we will refund Royal Mail First Class or Standard Parcel postage costs.

If the item is being returned as a result of a change of mind, purchased the wrong size, item is not suitable, etc...You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
